connector

Fikst in Claude.

Your whole installation business in Claude: quotes, planning, invoices, equipment and the F-gas records. Here is how to connect it and what it may do.

01 What Fikst is
A business system for Dutch installation companies, with CRM and ERP in one: customers, quotes, planning, work orders, stock, invoicing and F-gas records, for heating, cooling, heat pumps, solar and electrical work. The connector puts the whole platform in Claude, from the first lead to the paid invoice, including the equipment in the field and the F-gas records that come with it.
02 Adding the connector
In Claude, add a custom connector with the URL https://mcp.fikst.cloud/mcp. The transport is streamable HTTP. Every customer uses that same URL; which organisation you reach is decided by who you sign in as, never by the address. That address gives each person a short list to start with: the core tools, the tools for their role and three gateway tools (fikst_tools, fikst_tool_schema and fikst_run) that reach everything else. The list only decides what Claude sees first; what someone may do still comes from their role. Rolling it out for a whole organisation? The administrator guide covers approval, sign-in and revoking access.
03 Signing in
Claude sends you to your own Fikst environment to sign in and approve the connection (OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration). You approve on a consent screen inside Fikst itself, so your password is never shared with Claude. You can disconnect it in Claude, and the connection expires on its own.
04 Then just ask
Use plain language: "which jobs are scheduled for Thursday", "draft a quote for this customer", "what is still unpaid", "which installations are due for a leak check". Claude picks the tools; you never type a tool name. Before it changes a quote, work order or invoice, Fikst asks Claude to check what is already running for that customer, and to ask you when a request can go two ways.
05 Sales
Leads, quotes with line items and options, customers and contacts. Quotes are priced from your own product catalogue, sent, and followed up.
06 Field service
Work orders, planning, time entries, materials used, checklists and photos. Including the installed base: which equipment sits at which customer, and its service history.
07 Money
Invoices, instalment plans, purchase invoices, bank transactions and VAT returns. Amounts are handled in whole cents, and the connector never moves money: it records it.
08 Compliance
The EU F-gas register: refrigerant and charge per installation, leak-check intervals derived from CO2 equivalent, and the logbook the regulation requires. Unknown values stay unknown; nothing is guessed, because a guessed number moves a legal threshold.
09 Configuration
Job types, quote templates, automations, list layouts, e-mail templates and ledger accounts. This is what makes it more than a reader: an office manager can ask for a new job type with its own checklist and default duration, and it exists a moment later. A built-in guide tells Claude per topic what works through the connector and what only works in the app, and when something is missing Claude can report the gap to us, without names, addresses or amounts.
10 Your role decides, not the connector
Permissions come from the signed-in user. An administrator reaches everything; a field engineer gets a narrow set of tools for their own work and cannot touch configuration; an unrecognised role gets the minimum. The connector cannot widen what your account is allowed to do.
11 Reading and writing are separate tools
There is no catch-all tool that takes an HTTP method. Reading, creating, updating and deleting are separate tools, each annotated so Claude knows whether it may run unattended. Anything that changes or sends something asks first.
12 Deleting is rare and deliberate
Almost nothing is removed outright: records are deactivated and stay recoverable. A short list of tools can really delete something, mostly configuration such as a template or a team, and a draft invoice. They sit behind an explicit propose-then-confirm step, so you see what would happen before it happens.
13 One organisation at a time
Every read and every write is scoped to the organisation of the signed-in user, enforced in the database as well as in the application. There is no route through this connector to another company’s data.
14 What it will not do
It does not transfer money, it does not generate images or video, and it does not read your Claude conversations, memory or files. It calls our own API and nothing else. It can e-mail a quote or an invoice, but only after you have seen an overview and confirmed. Inviting more than one customer to the portal also needs your confirmation.
15 What you need
A Fikst account. The connector is included in the subscription and has no separate licence. Some AI-assisted features inside Fikst itself, such as dictating a quote or reading a supplier invoice, run on credits. Claude can also read a supplier invoice itself through the connector; that uses no Fikst credit and the result stays a draft until you confirm it. Every organisation starts with 5,000 free credits, worth 50 euros; after that a credit costs 1 cent.

something not working, or a question about the connector? mail info@fikst.app. privacy is covered in our privacy statement, and data inside the platform in our data processing agreement, which we send on request.
